When I was driving to VT in the early to mid 80s


I would pass a sign that led to a field called Jerry Falwell Airport. It was good for a chuckle as i always got him confused with another guy on TV, the mayor in the tv show Carter Country. Later i noticed a sign that Liberty College was there too, whatever that may be. I find it amazing that this outfit can compete in football and basketball with most anybody. They are now handing it too LSU in the Maravich center and LSU's top shelf recruits are not bigger, faster, stronger. I guess money talks even if it's in place nobody knows about.
